Job Description
- Create new product lines and range for various stores and seasons
- Develop & Implement buying strategy for the category based to maximize per square foot sales of the category at each store
- Ensure efficient buying and merchandising for the category.
- Setting the right price points for various goods after the analysis of various goods and the margins needed
- Monitor sales performance and advise stores on strategies to move the customer up the value chain, to increase the average sale per customer
- Plan promotions and schemes to maximize sales for various seasons, festivals and occasions in coordination with marketing team
- Stay abreast with existing and emerging competitors’ strategies
- Monitor stock levels at the warehouse and ensure timely dispatch to stores
- Decide re-order levels for their respective category and ensure timely replenishment
- Set sales targets for their respective categories and sub-categories for each store
- Train, develop and empower team members so that they area well equipped to fulfil current expectations and meet emerging challenges
